Trent, Santa and Peonies

I want to start off  by saying that I support Ravelry. It’s new policy to keep the space safe for all is needed. Many more groups should probably institute a similar policy.
We must be intolerant of intolerance.

Currently I am working on my big Santa and the Man in the Moon rug and a pair of socks with a ooak yarn by Dragon Strings.
The sock is just a simple one with a 4 stitch cable front and back. I absolutely love how the colours are coming up.

The Santa rug is my current obsession.
I just finished a 4 day workshop on Primitive hooking at the Rug Hooking School at Trent. Bea Grant is a very generous and supportive teacher who has an amazing eye for colour and composition. I learned a lot from her.













If any of you are rug hookers or want to learn how to hook it is a fabulous week long school that is run every June. It has been running for 30 years! 
Other than the learning aspect it is wonderful to be surrounded by people who love fibre and rug hooking. The Trent University Campus is a beautiful campus with resident groundhogs and friendly chipmunks that accompanied us during our outside lunches.

Now I have to convince myself to get outside and enjoy my blooming peonies!

    To no one's surprise I back you in agreeing with Ravelry's policies.

    Also, Santa rug is adorable and I love it.

    Maybe lots of people experience some difficulties in rug cleaning singapore and need some help regarding on how they will overcome these difficulties, Thank you author for helping me understand more about this topic!

  July is chugging along. The latest heat wave is over. We can open windows and turn off the AC for a bit.  I can work in my sun room again too. The only drawback is that there is another Crow fledgling about assaulting my ears! Above you can see photos of a purse I just finished.  It was a kit that I got many years ago but never got around to doing for reasons. Reason number 1: I wasn't fond of the little square pattern. Reason number 2: My Dad's 2nd wife gave it to me. It wasn't until after his passing and my walking away from her abuse that I was able to face it. Emotional states control creativity. Three Sisters and a Fledgling

Santa looking out at a tree I like to work next to a window when hooking or knitting. I love being able to look up and see the trees that surround my house and see the birds flitting in and out of the branches. It makes me relax and enjoy the process of making.  The tree that is right outside the window that Santa is looking out of is one of the really tall evergreens right beside the house. It is home to many birds and their nests. This last week there has been a fledgling crow hopping around the branches. Which I love.   Except for its very annoying atonal call. An adult crow, who answers the fledgling never ending atonal squawk , is musical in comparison. This thing always wants food. I cannot wait for it to grow up! Oh my gosh....

 It's been a while. Update: covid happened and is still happening. Life as we know it shifted drastically. I spent 1 year Madly embroidering then I finally got back to rug hooking. I have sold a few items  Been in 2 studio tours and am taking part in a show at Colborne Gallery  starting later this week.  Will update more later! Martina
